Alex Matraxia is an award-winning filmmaker, writer, and photographer. They've directed commercial work for clients including Balmain, 10 Magazine, and Sadlers Wells. Their short film Dream Factory, produced under the Roundhouse Film Fund, premiered in LSFF 2024 and was officially selected at Fantasia International 2024. Last year their short film Brief Encounter premiered in Cannes as a finalist of the Straight-8 Film Competition, and they have previously been shortlisted for the BAFTA Rocliffe New Writing Competition, as well as receiving the Kodak Film Fund Award 2024 for their upcoming film Goodnight Ladies. They are currently based in London.
